1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and allow the engine to cool down completely.
2. Open the hood and locate the radiator drain plug. It is usually a plastic or metal plug located at the bottom of the radiator, on the driver's side.
3. Place a drain pan under the radiator drain plug to catch the coolant.
4. Use a wrench to loosen the radiator drain plug and allow the coolant to drain completely.
5. Once the coolant has drained, close the radiator drain plug.
6. Refill the radiator with fresh coolant of the proper type and mixture.
7. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to circulate the coolant.
8. Check the coolant level in the radiator and add more coolant if necessary.
It is important to properly dispose of the old coolant, as it is toxic to the environment. You can take it to a local auto parts store or recycling center for proper disposal.
