Steps:
1. Park the vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine. Allow it to cool down if it has been running.
2. Open the hood of the vehicle.
3. Locate the distributor. It is located at the front of the engine, near the cylinder head.
4. Remove the distributor cap by turning the screws counterclockwise.
5. Locate the rotor inside the distributor. It is the small, flat, rectangular piece that rotates when the engine is running.
6. Mark the position of the rotor on the distributor housing with a piece of chalk.
7. Now, connect induction timing light as per instruction guide.
8. Start the engine and allow it to reach its normal operating temperature.
9. Aim the timing light at the timing marks on the engine. The timing marks are located on the crankshaft pulley, near the front of the engine.
10. Adjust the distributor so that the timing mark on the crankshaft pulley aligns with the timing mark on the distributor housing.
11. Tighten the distributor hold-down bolt.
12. Turn off the engine and replace the distributor cap. Close the hood of the car and you're done!
Note: Ignition timing should be adjusted according to the vehicle's specifications. Refer to the owner's manual for the correct timing specifications.
