1. Disconnect the battery.
This will prevent the fuel pump from running while you are working on it.
2. Remove the fuel tank.
The fuel tank is located under the trunk of the car. You will need to disconnect the fuel lines and electrical connectors to remove the tank.
3. Remove the fuel pump assembly.
The fuel pump assembly is located inside the fuel tank. You will need to remove the lock ring and gasket to remove the fuel pump assembly.
4. Inspect the fuel pump.
Check the fuel pump for any damage. If the fuel pump is damaged, you will need to replace it.
5. Install the new fuel pump.
Insert the new fuel pump into the fuel tank and replace the lock ring and gasket.
6. Reinstall the fuel tank.
Install the fuel tank in the reverse order that you removed it.
7. Connect the battery.
Once the fuel tank is installed, you can connect the battery.
8. Test the fuel pump.
Turn on the ignition and listen for the fuel pump to run. If the fuel pump is not running, you may need to check the electrical connections.
