1. Disconnect the battery. This will prevent the airbag from deploying while you are working.
2. Remove the airbag. To do this, insert a screwdriver into the holes on the back of the steering wheel and pry the airbag out of place. Be careful not to damage the airbag or the steering wheel.
3. Remove the steering wheel bolts. There are four bolts that hold the steering wheel in place. Use a wrench to loosen these bolts and remove them.
4. Remove the steering wheel. Once the bolts are removed, you can pull the steering wheel off of the steering column. Be careful not to drop the steering wheel.
5. Install the new steering wheel. To do this, simply reverse the steps you took to remove the old steering wheel. Be sure to tighten the bolts securely.
6. Reconnect the battery. Once the new steering wheel is installed, you can reconnect the battery.
