- Open the door.
-Locate the screws holding the door panel in place. There will be two screws in the armrest, one in the door handle, and one in the bottom corner of the door.
-Remove the screws.
-Gently pry the door panel off of the door, starting at the bottom.
-Set the door panel aside in a safe place.
2. Locate the window crank.
-The window crank is located in the center of the door, just below the window switch.
3. Remove the window crank knob.
-Grip the window crank knob with your hand and turn it counterclockwise until it comes off.
4. Remove the window crank arm.
- Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the window crank arm off of the door.
-Be careful not to lose the small spring that is located behind the window crank arm.
5. Remove the window crank assembly.
-The window crank assembly is held in place by three screws.
-Remove the screws.
-Gently pry the window crank assembly out of the door.
-Disconnect the electrical connector from the window crank assembly.
6. Install the new window crank assembly.
-Follow the steps above in reverse order to install the new window crank assembly.
7. Test the window crank.
- Roll the window up and down to make sure that the new window crank assembly is working properly.
