1. Park the car on level ground and turn off the engine. Ensure that the car is not running, allowing the gas fumes to dissipate.
2. Open the fuel filler door.
3. Locate the fuel line inside the filler neck. It's usually a black hose with a smaller clear hose next to it.
4. Insert one end of the siphon tube into the fuel line. Make sure the end is submerged in the gas.
5. Place the other end of the siphon tube into your gas can.
6. Start syphoning the gas by creating suction. You can do this by mouth or using a siphon pump.
7. Once the gas starts flowing, be patient and wait until the gas can is full.
8. Remove the siphon tube and properly dispose of it.
9. Close the fuel filler door.
