Where are the timing marks on a Peugeot 106?

Timing mark locations

* Camshaft timing marks – At the flywheel end of the camshaft, there is a notch and a punch mark on the camshaft sprocket wheel rim. The camshaft sprocket is keyed to the camshaft, so the sprocket and the camshaft should rotate together. There is also a timing pointer with a notch mounted to the cylinder block. The pointer is at approximately 1 o’clock above the cylinder head gasket surface with the No. 1 piston.

* Crankshaft timing marks – When the No. 1 piston is at TDC (top dead center) on the compression stroke, the crankshaft pulley timing mark will align with a notch in the oil pump casting above the crankshaft pulley.
