- Blown fuse: Check the fuse box for a blown fuse. The headlight fuse is usually labeled as "Headlight" or "Headlamp." If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage.
- Loose connection: Check the electrical connections at the headlight bulb, headlight relay, and battery terminals. Make sure the connections are clean and tight.
- Bad bulb: The headlight bulb may be burned out. Replace the old bulb with a new headlight bulb according to the specifications in your owner's manual.
- Headlight switch: Check the headlight switch to make sure it is in the "On" position. If the switch is not working, replace it.
- Faulty relay: The headlight relay may be faulty. Replace the relay with a new one if it is found to be defective.
- Malfunctioning lighting control unit or headlight control module: The lighting control unit or headlight control module may be faulty. These components control the headlight's operation and might need to be replaced.
Before inspecting the headlight bulb or other electrical components, make sure that the ATV's battery has sufficient charge. A weak or dead battery can cause the headlights not to work properly.
