2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse 3.0L V6 Thermostat Location

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Drain the coolant from the radiator.

3. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

4. Remove the upper radiator hose.

5. Remove the thermostat housing bolts and remove the thermostat housing.

6. Remove the old thermostat from the thermostat housing.

7. Install the new thermostat in the thermostat housing, making sure that the spring side of the thermostat is facing the engine.

8. Install the thermostat housing bolts and tighten them to the specified torque.

9. Install the upper radiator hose.

10. Fill the radiator with coolant.

11. Connect the negative battery cable.
