Step 1:
Install all cylinder head bolts finger-tight.
Step 2:
Tighten the cylinder head bolts in the order shown in the diagram below, to 22 N-m (16 ft-lb) in 2 steps.
Step 3:
Tighten the cylinder head bolts in the same sequence to 43 N-m (32 ft-lb) in 2 steps.
Step 4:
Loosen all cylinder head bolts in the reverse order of the tightening sequence, then retighten them in the same sequence to 48 N-m (35 ft-lb) in 2 steps.
Final Step:
Wait for 30 minutes and re-tighten the cylinder head bolts in the same sequence to 52 N-m (38 ft-lb).
