Instructions:
1. Park the car on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Disconnect the battery terminals.
3. Raise the front of the car with the floor jack and place jack stands under the pinch welds to support the car.
4. Drain the oil from the engine by placing an oil drain pan under the oil drain plug and loosening the plug with a wrench.
5. Drain the coolant from the radiator by placing a coolant drain pan under the radiator petcock and opening the petcock.
6. Drain the transmission fluid from the transmission pan by placing a transmission fluid drain pan under the pan and loosening the drain plug with a wrench.
7. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
8. Remove the serpentine belt.
9. Remove the power steering pump and bracket.
10. Remove the air conditioner compressor and bracket.
11. Remove the starter motor.
12. Remove the exhaust manifold.
13. Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel rail.
14. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the engine.
15. Attach the engine hoist to the engine.
16. Slowly raise the engine with the engine hoist until it is clear of the engine bay.
17. Remove the engine mounts.
18. Remove the engine from the car.
Reinstallation:
1. Place the new engine in the car and secure it with the engine mounts.
2. Connect the electrical connectors to the engine.
3. Reconnect the fuel lines to the fuel rail.
4. Install the exhaust manifold.
5. Install the starter motor.
6. Install the air conditioner compressor and bracket.
7. Install the power steering pump and bracket.
8. Install the serpentine belt.
9. Install the air cleaner assembly.
10. Add new engine oil to the engine.
11. Add new coolant to the radiator.
12. Add new transmission fluid to the transmission pan.
13. Connect the battery terminals.
14. Start the car and check for any leaks.
