How do you change power steering fluid on 1992 Sentra?

Materials:

1. New power steering fluid

2. Funnel

3. Wrench

4. Rags

5. Drain pan

6. Jack and jack stands (optional)

Instructions:

1.) Park your car on a level surface. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down. Engage the parking brake.

2.) Jack up your car. Use the jack and jack stands (optional) to lift the front of your car so the wheels are off the ground. This will make it easier to access the power steering fluid reservoir.

3.) Locate the power steering fluid reservoir. The reservoir is usually located on the passenger side of the engine compartment. It is a small, plastic tank with a black or red cap.

4.) Remove the cap from the reservoir. Be careful not to spill any power steering fluid.

5.) Use a funnel to add new power steering fluid to the reservoir. Add enough fluid to bring the level up to the "Full" mark on the reservoir.

6.) Replace the cap on the reservoir.

7.) Turn the engine on and allow it to run for a few minutes. This will circulate the new power steering fluid through the system.

8.) Check the power steering fluid level again. Add more fluid if necessary.

9.) Lower your car. If you used a jack and jack stands, carefully lower your car back to the ground.

10.) Test the power steering system. Drive your car around the block a few times to test the power steering system. Make sure the steering wheel turns smoothly and easily.

Tips:

- It is important to use the correct type of power steering fluid for your car.

Consult the owner's manual for the specified type of fluid.

- When adding new power steering fluid, be careful not to overfill the reservoir.

This can cause the power steering system to malfunction.

- If you spill any power steering fluid, be sure to clean it up immediately.

Power steering fluid is toxic and can damage your car's paint if not removed promptly.
