How do you change spark plugs on a Mazda 626?

Here are the steps to change spark plugs in a Mazda 626:

1. Gather the necessary tools and parts. You will need:

* A new set of spark plugs (the correct type and size for your engine)

* A spark plug wrench

* A gap gauge

* A ratchet and socket set

* A clean rag

2. Disconnect the battery. This is important to prevent electrical shock while you are working.

3. Locate the spark plugs. They are located in the cylinder head, on the top of the engine.

4. Remove the spark plug wires. Use the spark plug wrench to loosen and remove the spark plug wires from the spark plugs. Be careful not to drop the wires into the engine.

5. Clean the spark plug wells. Use the clean rag to clean the spark plug wells. This will help to prevent dirt and debris from entering the engine when you install the new spark plugs.

6. Remove the old spark plugs. Use the spark plug wrench to loosen and remove the old spark plugs. Be careful not to drop the spark plugs into the engine.

7. Gap the new spark plugs. Use the gap gauge to set the gap between the center electrode and the ground electrode of the new spark plugs. The gap should be set to the specification that is recommended for your engine.

8. Install the new spark plugs. Thread the new spark plugs into the spark plug wells by hand. Tighten the spark plugs until they are snug. Do not overtighten the spark plugs.

9. Reconnect the spark plug wires. Use the spark plug wires to reconnect the new spark plugs to the spark plug terminals.

10. Reconnect the battery.

11. Start the engine and check for proper operation.
