1. Make sure the engine is cold.
2. Locate the air/fuel mixture screw on the carburetor. It is usually located on the side of the carburetor, near the throttle body.
3. Use a screwdriver to turn the air/fuel mixture screw clockwise to lean the mixture or counterclockwise to richen the mixture.
4. Start the engine and let it idle.
5. Use a tachometer to measure the engine's idle speed.
6. Adjust the air/fuel mixture screw until the engine idles smoothly at the specified RPM.
7. Test drive the vehicle and make adjustments as necessary to achieve the desired performance and fuel economy.
