1. Locate the trunk release cable behind the rear seat.
2. Disconnect the cable from the lever.
3. Remove the two bolts holding the lever in place.
4. Remove the lever.
5. Clean the old lever and cable of any dirt or damage.
6. Inspect the cable and replace if necessary.
7. Reattach the cable to the lever.
8. Replace the lever and tighten the bolts.
9. Make sure the lever is working by testing the trunk release.
10. If the lever still doesn't work, you may need to replace the trunk release solenoid.
