Where is the fuel filter located on a 2003 Toyota Echo and how do you change it?

The fuel filter on a 2003 Toyota Echo is located inside the fuel tank. To change it, you will need the following tools:

* Flathead screwdriver

* Phillips head screwdriver

* Pliers

* New fuel filter

Here are the steps for changing the fuel filter:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Relieve the fuel pressure. To do this, turn the ignition key to the "ON" position for two seconds, then turn it off. Repeat this three times.

3. Locate the fuel filter. It is located under the rear seat on the passenger side of the vehicle.

4. Pry open the access panel in the floorboard to expose the fuel filter.

5. Use a flathead screwdriver to loosen the hose clamps on the fuel lines.

6. Pull the fuel lines off of the fuel filter.

7. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the fuel filter in place.

8. Remove the old fuel filter and install the new one.

9. Replace the screws that hold the fuel filter in place.

10. Reattach the fuel lines to the fuel filter.

11. Tighten the hose clamps on the fuel lines.

12. Close the access panel in the floorboard.

13. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
