Steps to Replace Headlight Housing on a 2001 Toyota Previa
1. Make sure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and turned off.
2. Open the hood of the vehicle.
3. Disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure that electrical connections do not accidentally cause injury or damage to the electrical system.
4. Locate the three bolts holding the headlight housing in place. These bolts are located at the top, bottom, and inside the headlight housing.
5. Use the supplied socket wrench to loosen the top and inside bolts.
6. Use a screwdriver to remove the bottom bolt, ensuring that the bottom bolt does not fall into the vehicle.
7. Separate the headlight housing from the vehicle by pulling it forward.
8. Replace the old headlight housing with the new one, making sure all three bolts are aligned properly.
9. Tighten the bolts to secure the new headlight housing.
10. Connect the negative battery terminal.
11. Double check that all bolts and connections are secure.
12. Turn on the headlights to make sure they are functioning properly, then close the hood.
13. Test the new headlights by turning them on and off a few times.
14. If everything looks and functions properly, then the headlight housing replacement is complete.
