1. Locate the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). It is usually mounted on the throttle body.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the TPS.
3. Loosen the mounting screws for the TPS.
4. Turn the TPS until the output voltage is 0.5 volts.
5. Tighten the mounting screws for the TPS.
6. Reconnect the electrical connector to the TPS.
7. Start the engine and check the TPS output voltage. It should be between 0.5 and 5.0 volts.
8. If necessary, adjust the TPS until the output voltage is within specifications.
Here are some additional tips for adjusting the TPS:
* Make sure that the throttle body is clean and free of debris.
* Make sure that the TPS is properly mounted and that the mounting screws are tight.
* If you are not comfortable adjusting the TPS yourself, you can take your car to a qualified mechanic.
