The Vehicle Speed Sensor is located at the transmission next to the transfer case.
Replacement Procedure
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable
2. Raise and adequately support the vehicle
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the speed sensor
4. Using the appropriate wrench, remove the retaining bolt for the speed sensor
5. Remove the speed sensor.
6. Thoroughly clean the sensor bore and remove all debris.
7. Apply a light coat of grease to the new sensor sealing ring
8. Install the new speed sensor by reversing the removal procedure
9. Connect the electrical connectors to the speed sensor.
10. Lower the vehicle
11. Reconnect the negative battery cable
