1. Disconnect the battery. Turn the fuel valve to the "OFF" position.
2. Remove the front plastic, fuel tank, and airbox.
3. Locate the governor assembly on the left side of the carburetor.
4. Remove the governor plate from the governor assembly by pushing in on the plastic tabs that hold it in place.
5. Reinstall the air filter and fuel tank.
6. Loosen the clamp on the intake boot and slide it off the carburetor.
7. Spray a liberal amount of carburetor cleaner into the carburetor while opening and closing the throttle. Be sure to spray cleaner through all the ports and passages.
8. Slide the intake boot back onto the carburetor and tighten the clamp.
9. Turn the fuel valve back to the "ON" position.
10. Reconnect the battery.
11. Start the engine and adjust the idle to the proper RPM.
