1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise the rear of the vehicle using a jack and jack stands.
3. Locate the fuel tank straps at the front and rear of the fuel tank.
4. Loosen the fuel tank straps and lower the fuel tank.
5. Disconnect the fuel hoses and electrical connectors from the fuel tank.
6. Remove the fuel tank from the vehicle.
Once the fuel tank is removed, you will be able to access the fuel pump. The fuel pump is located on the bottom of the fuel tank, inside the fuel tank module. To remove the fuel pump, you will need to remove the fuel tank module from the fuel tank. Here are the steps on how to remove the fuel tank module:
1. Remove the fuel tank sending unit from the fuel tank.
2. Remove the bolts that secure the fuel tank module to the fuel tank.
3. Lift the fuel tank module out of the fuel tank.
Once the fuel tank module is removed, you will be able to access the fuel pump. The fuel pump is held in place by a lock ring. To remove the fuel pump, you will need to remove the lock ring. Here are the steps on how to remove the lock ring:
1. Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the slot in the lock ring.
2. Turn the screwdriver to break the lock ring loose.
3. Remove the lock ring from the fuel pump.
Once the lock ring is removed, you will be able to remove the fuel pump from the fuel tank.
