1. Park your car in a safe location and turn off the engine.
2. Open the trunk of your car.
3. Locate the brake light assembly. It is usually located on the side of the trunk, near the taillight.
4. Remove the old brake light bulb. You may need to use a screwdriver or other tool to pry the old bulb out of the socket.
5. Insert the new brake light bulb. Make sure that the new bulb is properly seated in the socket.
6. Test the new brake light. Turn on your car and press the brake pedal. The new brake light should come on.
7. Replace the brake light assembly. If you had to remove the brake light assembly in order to replace the bulb, reinstall it now.
8. Close the trunk of your car.
