1. Using a fuel pressure gauge and valve:
- Locate the Schrader valve on the fuel rail. It is usually near the fuel injector and will have a small cap on it.
- Attach the fuel pressure gauge to the Schrader valve and turn the valve clockwise to open it.
- Relieve the fuel pressure by pressing down on the valve until the pressure gauge reads 0 psi.
- Turn the valve clockwise to close it and remove the fuel pressure gauge.
2. Using a screwdriver and a rag:
- Locate the fuel line near the fuel injector.
- Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the fuel line connector up off the fuel injector.
- Place a rag over the fuel injector to catch any fuel that may spill.
- Start the engine and let it run for a few seconds until the fuel pressure is relieved.
- Turn off the engine and replace the fuel line connector.
