1. Turn off the engine and let it cool down.
2. Raise the front of the vehicle with ramps or a jack and chock the rear wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
3. Locate the petcock on the bottom of the radiator, on the driver’s side. It is a small, plastic valve that is usually black or blue in color.
4. Place a drain pan under the petcock to catch the coolant.
5. Turn the petcock counterclockwise to open it and allow the coolant to drain.
6. Once the coolant has drained, close the petcock by turning it clockwise.
7. Lower the vehicle.
2009-2014
1. Place a drain pan under the vehicle, centered under the radiator.
2. Remove the skid plate underneath the front of the vehicle. There are 2 bolts on either side of the skid plate as well as a bolt located in the middle.
3. Drain the coolant by opening the radiator drain plug. The radiator drain plug is located on the bottom of the radiator, on the driver’s side. It is a 1/2-inch bolt.
4. Close the radiator drain plug after all the coolant has been drained.
5. Replace the skid plate.
