1. Park the vehicle on level ground and turn off the engine.
2. Check the coolant level in the overflow tank. If it is low, add enough coolant to bring it to the "Full" mark.
3. Open the bleed valve on the top of the thermostat housing. This will allow air to escape from the system.
4. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
5. While the engine is running, squeeze the upper and lower radiator hoses to help purge any remaining air pockets.
6. Check the coolant level in the overflow tank again and add more coolant if necessary.
7. Close the bleed valve and replace the cap on the overflow tank.
8. Test drive the vehicle and watch for any signs of overheating or other cooling system problems.
