Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat and level surface.
Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down completely.
Locate the petrol tank drain plug. Depending on the model and year of your MR2, it may be located on the underside of the vehicle or inside the trunk.
Place a suitable container (such as a petrol-approved safety can) under the petrol tank drain plug to collect the draining fuel.
Loosen the petrol tank drain plug using a suitable wrench or tool. Be careful not to drop the bolt into the container of draining petrol.
Allow the petrol to drain completely from the tank. This may take several minutes.
Once all the petrol has been drained, replace the drain plug and tighten it securely.
dispose of the drained petrol in accordance with your local regulations and environmental guidelines.
