1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it with jack stands.
3. Remove the fuel tank skid plate.
4. Disconnect the fuel lines and electrical connectors from the fuel pump.
5. Remove the lock ring from the fuel pump and lift the pump out of the tank.
6. Install a new fuel pump and reconnect the fuel lines and electrical connectors.
7. Replace the lock ring and reinstall the fuel tank skid plate.
8. Lower the vehicle and reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
The entire process should take approximately 1-2 hours.
