Where is the crankshaft position sensor on a 2003 Mitsubishi outlander?

2.4L Engine

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the accessory drive belt.

3. Remove the crankshaft pulley. Refer to Crankshaft Pulley.

4. Lift off the timing belt lower cover at the crankshaft pulley area from a timing belt inspection plug hole.

5. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor connector.

6. Remove bolt holding the crankshaft position sensor and sensor.
