1. Open the hood of your Explorer.
2. Locate the fuel filter on the passenger side of the engine compartment, near the firewall.
3. The fuel filter is a cylindrical-shaped object with two fuel lines connected to it.
4. To remove the fuel filter, use a wrench to loosen the fuel line nuts on both ends of the filter.
5. Once the fuel line nuts are loose, you can remove the fuel filter by pulling it out of the fuel line connectors.
6. To install a new fuel filter, simply insert the new filter into the fuel line connectors and tighten the fuel line nuts.
