* Incorrect oil filter. Using an oil filter that is not specifically designed for your vehicle can cause it to leak or blow off. Make sure you are using the correct oil filter for your Tahoe.
* Faulty oil filter housing. If the oil filter housing is cracked or damaged, it can cause the oil filter to blow off. Check the oil filter housing for any damage and replace it if necessary.
* Overtightening the oil filter. Overtightening the oil filter can put too much pressure on the filter and cause it to blow off. Tighten the oil filter until it is snug, but do not overtighten it.
* Low oil pressure. If the oil pressure is too low, it can cause the oil filter to blow off. Check the oil pressure and add oil if necessary.
If you have tried all of the above and the oil filter is still blowing off, you should take your Tahoe to a mechanic for further diagnosis.
