* Reduced braking power: If you notice that your brakes are not stopping your bike as well as they used to, it's time to have them inspected.
* Squealing or grinding noises: If you hear squealing or grinding noises when you brake, it's a sign that the brake pads are wearing thin and need to be replaced.
* Brake fluid level: The brake fluid level should be checked regularly and topped off as needed. If the brake fluid level is low, it could indicate a leak in the brake system, which should be addressed immediately.
* Visual inspection: You can also visually inspect your brakes to check for wear. The brake pads should be at least 1/8 inch thick and the brake rotors should be smooth and free of cracks.
It's generally recommended to have your brakes inspected by a qualified mechanic every 5,000 to 10,000 miles, or more frequently if you ride in harsh conditions.
