How do you replace brake lamp bulb on Honda Pilot?

To replace the brake lamp bulb on a Honda Pilot, you will need the following tools and materials:

- Replacement brake lamp bulb (check your owner's manual for the correct bulb type)

- Phillips head screwdriver

- Flat head screwdriver or trim removal tool

- Clean cloth

Step-by-step instructions:

1. Park your Honda Pilot in a safe location and apply the parking brake. Turn off the engine and allow the vehicle to cool down if it has been recently driven.

2. Locate the taillight assembly. The taillight assemblies are located on both sides of the vehicle at the rear.

3. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws holding the taillight assembly in place. There may be two or more screws, depending on your Honda Pilot's model and year.

4. Once the screws are removed, carefully pry the taillight assembly out of its housing. Be careful not to damage the taillight assembly or any of the electrical wiring.

5. Locate the brake lamp bulb socket. The brake lamp bulb socket is usually located at the bottom of the taillight assembly.

6. Gently twist the brake lamp bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the socket. Be careful not to drop the bulb.

7. Inspect the old brake lamp bulb for any damage or discoloration. If the bulb is damaged, it should be replaced.

8. Insert the new brake lamp bulb into the socket. Make sure the bulb is properly seated in the socket and turn it clockwise until it is secure.

9. Reinstall the taillight assembly. Align the taillight assembly with its housing and insert the screws that you removed earlier. Tighten the screws until they are snug.

10. Test the brake lights. Turn on the ignition and press the brake pedal to make sure the brake lights are working properly.

Note: If the brake lights are still not working after replacing the bulb, there may be an issue with the electrical wiring. It is recommended to have it checked by a qualified mechanic.
