Here are the steps on how to remove the fuel tank from a 2001 Oldsmobile Bravada SmartTrak:
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the fuel filler cap.
3. Relieve the fuel system pressure. To do this, turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position for 2 seconds, then turn it off. Repeat this process 3 times.
4. Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel tank.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fuel pump.
6. Lower the spare tire and remove it from the vehicle.
7. Support the fuel tank with a jack.
8. Remove the bolts that secure the fuel tank straps.
9. Carefully lower the fuel tank from the vehicle.
Once the fuel tank is removed, you will be able to access the fuel pump and filter. The fuel pump is located on the bottom of the fuel tank, and the fuel filter is located on the fuel line.
