How do you take off tail light 2000 Tahoe?

To remove the tail light of a 2000 Tahoe, follow these steps:

Open the tailgate of the Tahoe.

Locate the two tail light assemblies, one on each side of the tailgate.

On each tail light assembly, you will see two plastic plugs, one near the top and one near the bottom. Pry out the plugs using a flat-head screwdriver or other prying tool.

Behind each plug, you will find a Phillips-head screw. Remove the screws using a Phillips-head screwdriver.

The tail light assembly should now be loose. Carefully pull it straight out to remove it from the back of the vehicle.

Unplug the electrical connector from the back of the tail light assembly.

To reinstall the tail light assembly, simply slide it back into place, making sure that the tabs on the sides of the assembly fit into the corresponding slots in the body of the vehicle.

Replace the two screws that you removed, as well as the two plugs at the bottom of the taillight assembly.

Ensure that the electrical connector is plugged back in

Close the tailgate and test the functionality of the tail light(s).
