* Low transmission fluid level: Check the transmission fluid level and top it off if necessary.
* Dirty transmission fluid: Change the transmission fluid and filter if they are dirty.
* Faulty shift solenoid: The shift solenoid is responsible for shifting the transmission into overdrive. If the shift solenoid is faulty, it will not be able to shift the transmission into overdrive.
* Faulty transmission control module (TCM): The TCM is responsible for controlling the transmission. If the TCM is faulty, it will not be able to send the correct signals to the shift solenoid to shift the transmission into overdrive.
