- New fuel filter
- Fuel filter wrench or pliers
- Clean rag

Step 1: Locate the fuel filter.
- The fuel filter is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment, near the firewall.
- It is a cylindrical-shaped object with two fuel lines connected to it.
Step 2: Prepare the work area.
- Place a clean rag under the fuel filter to catch any spilled fuel.
- Put on safety goggles to protect your eyes.
Step 3: Disconnect the fuel lines.
- Use a fuel filter wrench or pliers to loosen the fuel lines that are connected to the fuel filter.
- Be careful not to spill any fuel.
Step 4: Remove the fuel filter.
- Unscrew the fuel filter from the fuel line.
- Discard the old fuel filter.
Step 5: Install the new fuel filter.
- Screw the new fuel filter into the fuel line.
- Hand-tighten the fuel filter until it is snug.
- Do not overtighten the fuel filter.
Step 6: Reconnect the fuel lines.
- Reattach the fuel lines to the fuel filter.
- Tighten the fuel lines until they are snug.
- Do not overtighten the fuel lines.
Step 7: Start the engine and check for leaks.
- Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
- Check for any fuel leaks.
- If you see any leaks, tighten the fuel lines until they stop.
Step 8: Properly dispose of the old fuel filter.
- The old fuel filter may be hazardous waste, so dispose of it properly.
- Check your local regulations for instructions on how to dispose of used fuel filters.
