Where exactly is the starter on a 1994 Mazda Protege located and does anyone have diagram of it?

The starter on a 1994 Mazda Protege is located on the passenger side of the engine, near the bottom. It is connected to the engine block by two bolts and to the electrical system by two wires.

To remove the starter, you will need to:

1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the air intake hose.

3. Remove the upper starter bolt.

4. Remove the lower starter bolt.

5. Disconnect the electrical wires from the starter.

6. Remove the starter from the engine bay.

To install the starter, reverse the steps listed above. Be sure to tighten the bolts securely and reconnect the electrical wires properly.
