1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Locate the crankshaft position sensor on the front of the engine, just below the intake manifold. It is a small, black sensor with a single electrical connector.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the crankshaft position sensor.
4. Use a 10mm wrench to loosen the bolt that holds the sensor in place.
5. Remove the bolt and pull the sensor out of the engine.
6. Inspect the sensor for damage or wear. If the sensor is damaged or worn, replace it.
7. Install the new sensor by inserting it into the hole in the engine block.
8. Tighten the bolt that holds the sensor in place.
9. Reconnect the electrical connector to the crankshaft position sensor.
10. Connect the negative battery cable.
