A carburetor is a device that mixes air and fuel together for internal combustion engines. It is used in gasoline engines to provide the correct mixture of air and fuel for combustion. The carburetor is located between the air filter and the engine intake manifold. The carburetor mixes the air and fuel together in a ratio of about 14 parts air to 1 part fuel. This mixture is then drawn into the engine cylinders by the pistons.
