1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the upper intake manifold (UIM).
3. Locate the camshaft position (CMP) sensor on the rear of the cylinder head, near the distributor.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the CMP sensor.
5. Remove the two 10mm bolts that hold the CMP sensor in place.
6. Remove the CMP sensor from the cylinder head.
Installation
1. Install the new CMP sensor into the cylinder head.
2. Secure the CMP sensor with the two 10mm bolts.
3. Reconnect the electrical connector to the CMP sensor.
4. Reinstall the UIM.
5. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
