1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly and the intake manifold plenum.
3. Locate the camshaft position sensor on the front of the cylinder head, under the distributor.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
5. Remove the bolt that holds the sensor in place.
6. Remove the sensor from the cylinder head.
7. Install the new sensor in the reverse order of removal.
8. Tighten the bolt to 10 ft-lb (14 N-m).
9. Reconnect the electrical connector to the sensor.
10. Reinstall the intake manifold plenum and air cleaner assembly.
11. Connect the negative battery cable.
