2. Locate the diagnostic connector under the dash on the driver's side. It is a black plastic connector with a 16-pin plug.
3. Connect the negative battery terminal.
4. Short pins 1 and 16 for no less than 1 second; then open them.
5. Turn off the ignition, wait at least 10 seconds and then restart the engine. The indicator light should now be turned off.
