Does it mean that your fuel pump is working if you hear the hum through gas tank?
Hearing a hum through the gas tank does not necessarily indicate that the fuel pump is working properly. The humming noise is usually the sound of the fuel pump priming the fuel system. It is normal for the fuel pump to make a humming sound when the key is first turned to the "on" position, as it builds up pressure in the fuel lines. However, if the humming noise continues for an extended period of time or if it is accompanied by other symptoms, such as difficulty starting the engine, rough idling, or poor acceleration, it could indicate a problem with the fuel pump or the fuel system.
