- Phillips Head Screwdriver
- Flat Head Screwdriver
- New Running Light Bulb (Amber color, 194 bulb size)
- Replacement Socket (Optional, if the old socket is damaged or corroded)
Procedure:
1. Park your Tahoe in a safe and well-lit area. Engage the parking brake and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood. Locate the right (passenger side) headlight assembly.
3. Remove the headlight assembly. There are two screws that hold the headlight in place. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove these screws. Once the screws are removed, gently pull the headlight assembly forward to remove it.
4. Locate the running light bulb. It is a small, amber-colored bulb located on the outer edge of the headlight assembly.
5. Remove the old running light bulb. Use a flat-head screwdriver to gently pry the bulb holder out of the headlight assembly. Be careful not to drop the bulb.
6. Install the new running light bulb. Line up the new bulb with the bulb holder and gently push it into place. Make sure the bulb is seated correctly and the bulb holder is securely attached.
Tips:
- If you are also replacing the headlight bulbs at the same time, this is a good opportunity to do so.
- Be careful not to drop any of the screws or the bulb holder. If you drop a screw, it may be difficult to find in the engine compartment.
- If the old socket is damaged or corroded, you should replace it with a new one.
