2003 Ford Explorer XLT - Fuel filter location and replacement guide:

1. Locate the fuel filter under the vehicle. It is located near the fuel tank, on the passenger side frame rail.

2. There are two fuel lines connected to the fuel filter - Use the fuel filter wrench to disconnect the fuel lines from the filter.

3. Remove the old fuel filter from the vehicle.

4. Install the new fuel filter in place of the old one and reconnect fuel lines.

5. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to check for leaks.
