1. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
2. Locate the battery compartment on the right side of the scooter, under the seat.
3. Open the battery compartment by depressing the latch button on the side.
4. Lift up the battery cover to reveal the battery.
5. Disconnect the negative (black) cable from the battery terminal by loosening the bolt with a screwdriver.
6. Disconnect the positive (red) cable from the battery terminal by loosening the bolt with a screwdriver.
7. Remove the battery from the compartment by lifting it straight up.
8. To re-install the battery, simply reverse the steps above, connecting the positive (red) cable first, followed by the negative (black) cable.
