What engine oil should you use in a Chevrolet 5.7lt v8?

Recommended Engine Oil: Use DEXOS1™-approved SAE 5W-30 engine oil in all operating temperatures. If DEXOS1™-approved SAE 5W-30 engine oil is not available, use SAE 5W-30 engine oil meeting API SN Plus, SN, SM or SL standards.

Important: Do not use engine oils labeled "energy conserving." Engine oils labeled "energy conserving" are not recommended because they can negatively affect fuel economy.
