How do you set Ignition timing on Honda goldwing 1100?

To set the ignition timing on a Honda Goldwing 1100, you will need the following tools:

* A timing light

* A 10mm wrench

* A flat-blade screwdriver

* A feeler gauge

Once you have gathered the necessary tools, follow these steps:

1. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to warm up.

2. Turn off the engine.

3. Remove the right-hand side cover.

4. Locate the ignition timing inspection cover. It is located on the front of the engine, just below the cylinder head.

5. Remove the ignition timing inspection cover.

6. Insert the feeler gauge between the crankshaft timing mark and the stator timing mark. The clearance should be 0.012-0.016 inches (0.30-0.40 mm).

7. If the clearance is not within specification, loosen the two 10mm bolts that hold the stator in place.

8. Rotate the stator until the clearance is within specification.

9. Tighten the two 10mm bolts that hold the stator in place.

10. Reinstall the ignition timing inspection cover.

11. Reinstall the right-hand side cover.

12. Start the engine and check the ignition timing with a timing light. The timing mark should be aligned with the timing pointer at idle speed.

If the timing is not correct, repeat steps 6-11.
