1. The oil pressure sending unit on a 1992 Ford F-150 with a 5.0L engine is located on the passenger side of the engine, just above the oil filter.
2. It is a black cylindrical sensor with a single electrical connector on top.
3. To remove the oil pressure sending unit, first disconnect the electrical connector by squeezing the release tab and pulling the connector straight up.
4. Then, use a 1-inch wrench to loosen the hex nut that holds the oil pressure sending unit in place.
5. Be careful not to drop the hex nut into the engine oil pan.
6. Once the hex nut is loose, you can unscrew the oil pressure sending unit by hand.
7. Install the new oil pressure sending unit by screwing it in by hand until it is snug.
8. Then, tighten the hex nut with a 1-inch wrench.
9. Finally, reconnect the electrical connector by pushing it down until it snaps into place.
