How do you change the radiator in a 2003 kia pregio diesel manual?

Tools

* Phillips screwdriver

* Flat-head screwdriver

* 10 mm socket and wrench

* 12 mm socket and wrench

* 14 mm socket and wrench

* 17 mm socket and wrench

* 19 mm socket and wrench

* 22 mm socket and wrench

* Radiator drain pan

* Funnel

* Coolant

* Clean rags

Instructions

1. Park your Pregio on a level surface and allow the engine to cool down.

2. Open the hood.

3. Locate the radiator cap and remove it.

4. Place the radiator drain pan under the radiator.

5. Open the radiator drain valve and allow the coolant to drain into the pan.

6. Once the coolant has drained, close the radiator drain valve.

7. Remove the upper radiator hose by loosening the hose clamp with a flat-head screwdriver and pulling the hose off the radiator nipple.

8. Remove the lower radiator hose by loosening the hose clamp with a flat-head screwdriver and pulling the hose off the radiator nipple.

9. Remove the radiator mounting bolts by using a 10 mm socket and wrench.

10. Lift the radiator out of the engine compartment and set it aside.

11. Install the new radiator by reversing the steps above.

12. Fill the radiator with coolant and replace the radiator cap.

13. Start the engine and allow it to run for a few minutes. Check for any leaks.

14. Turn the engine off and check the coolant level. Add more coolant if necessary.

15. Close the hood.

Tips

* Be careful not to spill coolant on the engine or other components. Coolant is a corrosive liquid and can damage painted surfaces.

* If you are not comfortable performing this task, you can take your Pregio to a qualified mechanic.
